Stages of Me - Hannah EP Covers
Concept Development, Art Direction, Photography, Videography
Brief
Create multiple cover designs and videos for Hannah's debut EP, aligning the visuals with the themes of her songs: Criminal, Tension, and I Feel Nothing.
What We Did
Hannah’s songs tell a deeply personal story, capturing her journey from where she began to where she stands today. Each track unfolds like a chapter, navigating emotions, struggles, and ultimately, self-discovery. Though sharing her music with the world felt daunting, *Stages of Me* became a defining moment—her first EP, a raw and heartfelt release that embodies her evolution and the courage to let it go.
In collaboration with Thirsa van Lier, we developed a cohesive visual narrative inspired by the "5 Stages of Grief," a theme drawn from Hannah’s demos. This concept served as the creative thread throughout her artwork, cover designs, and video productions. We handled the development, production, and editing of the visuals featured across her social media and Spotify, supporting the rollout of her EP and singles.
Results
This resulted in 5 covers and 5 short videos for this release.

Bloom
Photography, Art Direction
Brief
Create a black and white photo serie about the beauty of decay and fragility
What I Did
Bloom is a photographic serie on the quiet beauty found in fragility, imperfection, and the natural process of decay. Through a series of black-and-white floral portraits, this project captures the intimate transformation of flowers as they begin to wither moments often overlooked, yet rich with texture, emotion, and quiet power.
Tapestry
Machine tufted and hand knotted tapestry
100% wool
Brief
Create custom-designed and handcrafted wall tapestries for interior spaces.
What I Did
This series of three hand- and machine-tufted rugs explores the relationship between form, structure, and material through the language of textile-making. From concept to completion, each piece navigates the space between traditional hand-knotting techniques and the precision of modern tufting machines, blurring the line between craft and design, softness and structure.
The rugs take on sculptural qualities, with tactile surfaces that act as woven landscapes, shaped by both gesture and geometry. Designed to function as either floor or wall pieces, they bring warmth, texture, and a shift in acoustics to any interior, enhancing both atmosphere and sensory experience.
When They Sleep
Photography, Concept, Art Direction
What I Did
When They Sleep is a visual exploration of Amsterdam in its most silent hours, when the city exhales, and the usual rhythm of movement gives way to stillness.
Captured in the deep night and early dawn, this photo series reveals a side of Amsterdam rarely seen: peaceful, mystical, and almost suspended in time.
Wandering through empty streets, over quiet canals, and beneath glowing streetlights, the camera becomes a quiet observer. The absence of people invites presence, the city, stripped of its daily noise, seems to dream. Architecture becomes sculpture, reflections blur reality, and every shadow holds a whisper.
The hidden poetry of urban spaces after dark. It invites the viewer to slow down and rediscover Amsterdam not as a bustling capital, but as a place of quiet wonder.
Spaces
Photography, Art Direction
What I Did
Spaces is a photographic exploration of architectural presence and human absence, where light, texture, and geometry become the storytellers. Captured across various locations, this series observes the quiet poetry of built environments, revealing how structures interact with their surroundings and evoke emotion through scale, form, and material.
From serene interiors to sunlit façades and intimate alleyways, each images are approached with cinematic stillness. Spaces invites the viewer to pause, look, and feel to rediscover the silent elegance of the environments we move through every day.
Road to Roots
Photography, Documentary
What I Did
Road to Roots is a deeply personal photo series documenting a road trip across Java, Indonesia, an island that holds layers of unanswered questions and ancestral echoes. Shot in 2019, this journey marked the beginning of a quiet reckoning with identity, memory, and belonging.
As an adoptee raised in a Western country by Dutch parents, my connection to Indonesia has always been complex, woven with both longing and loss. This trip became more than travel; it was a visual and emotional attempt to bridge the space between who I am and where I come from. Through the vibrant chaos of street markets, the resilience of local faces, and the solemn majesty of Java’s volcanic landscape, I sought traces of something familiar, something felt.
Now, as a parent to a son of mixed heritage, half Indonesian, half Dutch, the significance of this journey deepens. How do we pass on roots we ourselves are still learning to understand? How do we create a cultural language for our children when our own is fractured?
